Causes Of Motor Coil Burnout
The delta connection of the motor, after the motor is out of phase, the current of one phase winding will increase rapidly, resulting in burnout. If it is a star connection, the two-phase winding is burned by the lack of phase.
There is still a possibility that the motor winding is shorted between turns or the insulation is damaged, but the probability of this happening is still very small. Especially when the motor has been running normally, the temperature rise of the motor in this kind of operation is less likely to exceed the normal allowable range. Bulletproof motor maintenance personnel summarize the main reasons for the following:
1. Electrical failure: the power supply voltage is lower than the rated voltage of the motor; the motor is running in phase loss; the motor is running under overload
2. Mechanical failure: The rotor is swept away, the stator and rotor are rubbed against each other, the bearing is poorly lubricated, the brake is faulty, and the motor is blocked;
3. Environmental factors: the ambient temperature is too high; the dust in the working environment is too large, the dust on the surface of the motor hinders the quality of the coil, some coils are damaged, the coil is aging, the insulating paint is scarce, and the insulating paint is aging, etc. , called inter-turn short circuit.
